Currently...The rain is stretching from central stanislaus county just east of modesto...Through san joaquin county at Stockton...Through the sacramento metropolitan area and north into the sacramento valley into shasta county. The snow levels have risen in the foothills...Although cold air May be trapped in some protected valleys. The back side of this band has passed solano county and is moving through western yolo...San joaquin and stanislaus counties. Morning commuters should be prepared to encounter slick this morning and allow extra time for this mornings commute.
