Now...An area of showers and thunderstorms in northeast pinal county is moving northwest at 20 mph. The strongest cells are near us highway 60 and AZ 177 near superior and also along AZ 79 moving towards florence. Small hail is likely in these thunderstorms and care should be taken if these storms are encountered on the roadways. The storms will likely be impacting apache Junction...Gilbert...San tan valley...And east mesa within the next hour or two. Motorists should be prepared for changing weather conditions and slick roadways.
